We are thrilled to welcome Darren Marillier as Dolphin Bay's sales executive for the East Africa region
Darren’s appointment puts Dolphin Bay in an excellent position for improving both our reach and service levels in East Africa, says Bertus.
“It is difficult to find people who are knowledgeable about every aspect of our industry, from chemicals used to the engineering required, and who also understand the African markets,” says Bertus. “Darren is one such person.
“He is pro-active, energetic, and well-liked in the industry. His experience, personal value system and passion for improving our industry in Africa make him a perfect fit for our company.”
Darren has nine years’ experience in the wood preservative chemical sector, along with two years’ experience managing a pole-manufacturing business unit in East Africa. This experience has given him extensive knowledge of treatment plant engineering and every aspect of plant set-up and installation.
“I feel very excited about joining Dolphin Bay,” says Darren. “It is a forward-thinking company, whose flexibility in understanding and accommodating customer needs is unrivalled, and the company has a culture of integrity that fits my personal value system.
“Dolphin Bay has experienced a steep growth curve, and there is significant opportunity for further growth. I believe I can help the company to become the undisputed African leader in wood preservation. I am passionate about the wood preservation business in under-developed countries, and would like to leave the legacy of being a key contributor to improving the profile of the sector.
“Raising the bar in Africa, and contributing to the success of our customers’ businesses, are key for me.”
