Dolphin Bay's engineers can convert your treatment plant for the use of different preservatives, to suit your changing business needs. We have done extensive research on converting treatment plants and have excellent knowledge of how to do this at a competitive cost, with a quick turnaround time.
We can also facilitate the removal of the remaining working solution from the system, to allow for the introduction of the new Permacure preservative.
Dolphin Bay is developing new-generation wood preservatives, and has successfully registered its Permacure ACQ with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. We were also able to have the product accepted by SANS (South African National Standards). This will create export opportunities for our customers to countries where ACQ-treated timber is in high demand.ACQ is regarded in some markets as a green wood preservative. However, Dolphin Bay wishes to emphasise that treating wood properly, according to the recommended procedures, is also an environmentally responsible approach. When wood is correctly treated, it poses no danger to humans or the environment. Wood that is correctly treated lasts longer, which helps in managing the sustainability of the timber industry.
New-generation products do not take the place of existing wood preservatives, but are additional options for markets where the demand for these products has grown.
